About The Arts Society Sherborne

About Us

The Arts Society Sherborne is a local member society of The Arts Society (formerly known as NADFAS), a national charity dedicated to the appreciation of the arts and the preservation of our artistic heritage.

We meet on the first Wednesday of each month (except January and August) in the Digby Hall, Hound Street, Sherborne. We hold two meetings on those days: one in the afternoon and one in the evening. The same lecture is given at each.

Lectures are given in person by prominent figures in the art world and always include entertaining and informative visual aids. The lecturers are sometimes TV celebrities! To find out more about our current lecture programme please click here…

Our lectures, visits, study days and voluntary projects are all designed to promote an understanding of the arts, art history and culture amongst like-minded local people of all ages and backgrounds.
